FLUID-TECH steel pipe nipples are made from steel, most commonly black iron or galvanized steel. The type of steel determines its corrosion resistance properties.
- Lengths: Steel nipples come in standard threaded lengths, usually 1-5 inches long. This allows for precision spacing of joints.
- Threads: Both ends are threaded, with common thread types being NPT (National Pipe Thread) or BSP (British Standard Pipe Thread). NPT is most common in North America.
- Diameters: Diameters range from 1/8″ to 6″ to accommodate different pipe sizes. Schedules refer to wall thickness and pressure ratings.
