What’s the Floating ball valve?

Floating ball valve is a kind of ball valve in which the ball is not completely fixed and can float in a limited manner. It is suitable for long-distance pipelines and general industrial pipelines, and is suitable for various corrosive and non-corrosive media. It can be installed in petroleum, chemical, food, medicine, metallurgy, mining, hydropower, natural gas, gas, urban construction and other systems.

Main features and working principle

1) Small fluid resistance: basically no flow resistance.
2) Flange connection: easy and fast installation.
3) Tight and reliable: the valve seat is made of PTFE, which has good sealing performance and can achieve complete sealing.
4) Convenient operation: quick opening and closing, only need to rotate 90° from fully open to fully closed.
5) Easy maintenance: The ball valve has a simple structure, the sealing ring is generally movable, and it is more convenient to disassemble and replace.
6) When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface of the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium, and the sealing surface of the valve will not be eroded when the medium passes through.
7) Since the ball valve has wiping properties during the opening and closing process, it can be used in the medium with suspended solid particles.
8) It can realize quick opening and closing, and the opening and closing time of some structures is only 0.05 to 0.1s, so as to ensure that it can be used in the automation system of the test bench. When the valve is opened and closed quickly, there is no shock in operation.
