Forged pipe fitting are commonly used in piping systems to connect pipes, valves, and other equipment. These fittings are created by shaping a piece of metal by hammering or pressing it into the desired shape. Forged pipe fittings are known for their strength and durability, making them suitable for high-pressure applications (so we may call it high pressure fittings).

Leading Pipe Fittings Manufacturer Tell You More About Forged Fittings

Fluid Tech Group as pipe fittings manufacturer in China specializing in fire protection systems, water systems and pipe fittings products. Below is detailed information about forge pipe fitting.

Forged pipe fittings are classified according to the pressure class:

Class 2000 fittings

Class 2000 fittings are a type of forged pipe fitting that is designed for use in piping systems with a maximum pressure of 2000 psi. These fittings are generally used in applications that require a higher level of strength and durability than Class 1500 fittings, but not as much as Class 3000 fittings.

Class 3000 fittings

Use in piping systems with a maximum pressure of 3000 psi. These fittings are typically used in high-pressure applications, such as chemical processing, oil and gas production, and power generation.

Class 6000 fittings

These fittings are employed in piping systems that have a maximum pressure of 6000 psi and are specifically designed for use in demanding applications like high-pressure steam and hydraulic systems. Normally, we could use alloy steel forged pipe fitting to match applications.

Class 9000 fittings

These fittings are intended for use in piping systems that have a maximum pressure of 9000 psi and are employed in the most extreme high-pressure applications, including high-pressure gas pipelines. Sometimes, we may consider to use stainless steel materials for pipe fittings.

Forged Welded Fittings VS. Forged Threaded Fittings

Welded Forged Pipe fitting are as designed to be welded to the adjacent equipment to create a secure and leak-proof connection. They are commonly used in applications where the piping system is subjected to high-pressure, high-temperature, or corrosive environments. Forged welded fittings come in various shapes and sizes, including elbows, tees, reducers, couplings, and caps.

Threaded Forged Pipe Fitting, on the other hand, are designed to be screwed into the adjacent equipment to create a secure and leak-proof connection. They are typically used in low-pressure applications, such as water supply systems, irrigation systems, and HVAC systems.

Socket Weld Pipe Fittings Are A Type Of Forged Pipe Fitting

It’s designed for use in high-pressure piping systems. These fittings are connected to the piping system by inserting the pipe into the socket end of the fitting and then welding the fitting to the pipe. The weld creates a strong, leak-proof connection between the fitting and the pipe.

Socket weld pipe fitting installation involves inserting the pipe into the socket weld end of the fitting. Then, a high-quality welding technique such as TIG or MIG welding welds the fitting to the pipe. The welding requires care to yield a strong, leak-proof connection between the fitting and the pipe.
