This commitment to quality and service empowers us to continuously satisfy our customers' needs with solutions they can trust.
Waterworks valves are used in water distribution systems to regulate and direct the flow of water. They are vital components in drinking water, irrigation, and wastewater management systems.
The Most Common Types Of Waterworks Valves Include:
- Water works Control valve regulate downstream flow or pressure using a powered actuator responding to control signals. They provide automated flow control for water distribution.
- Water works Check valves only allow one-way flow and are used to prevent backflow. Spring, swing, tilting disk and lift designs automatically open with forward flow and close if flow starts to reverse.
- Butterfly valves use a circular disk rotated at 90 degrees to stop flow. At other angles, flow is allowed through, controlling the amount based on disk position. Butterfly valves are used for large diameter pipes.
- A rotary ball with a bore is as used to control water flow. As the ball rotates, the bore lines up with the pipe ends to allow flow or rotates perpendicular to stop flow. Ball valves allow quick on/off operation.
- Gate valves consist of a disk that lifts out of the flow path to allow water to flow, and seats against the valve body to stop flow. Gate valves are used for on/off control of water and allow for full pipe flow when open.
Fluid Tech Group Provides Waterworks Valves With Quality Materials
With more than twenty years of experience, Fluid Tech Group has become a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-performance water plant valves in China. We specialize in designing robust valve solutions to guarantee safety and reliability in the most stringent industrial environments.
Our long-term commitment to producing top water plant valves has earned us an excellent reputation throughout the country. For over 20 years, customers have turned to Fluid Tech Group because of our focus on quality and our commitment to providing durable valves that can withstand the harshest conditions. We use our expertise to create waterworks systems our customers can rely on. Meanwhile, these waterworks valves materials are excellent to meet oversea demand.
- Cast iron – This is a commonly used material for valve bodies and valve internals. Cast iron is hard, strong, and resistant to corrosion from water. It is economical and easy to cast into complex shapes required for valves.
- Ductile iron – This is a type of cast iron with added magnesium that makes it more resistant to impact and stresses. Ductile iron is often used for valve bodies and larger components.
- Stainless steel – Stainless steel alloys like 304 and 316 are used for valve stems, shafts, springs, and other components that need resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and stress.
- Bronze – Various bronze alloys are used for valve seats, discs, and trim components that come in contact with water. Bronze alloys have good corrosion resistance and wear characteristics.
- Special coatings – Zinc and epoxy coatings are applied to internal and external surfaces of iron valves to improve corrosion resistance.
