Fluid Tech Group Provides Waterworks Valves With Quality Materials

We use our expertise to create waterworks systems our customers can rely on. Meanwhile, these waterworks valves materials are excellent to meet oversea demand.

  • Cast iron – This is a commonly used material for valve bodies and valve internals. Cast iron is hard, strong, and resistant to corrosion from water. It is economical and easy to cast into complex shapes required for valves.
  • Ductile iron – This is a type of cast iron with added magnesium that makes it more resistant to impact and stresses. Ductile iron is often used for valve bodies and larger components.
  • Stainless steel – Stainless steel alloys like 304 and 316 are used for valve stems, shafts, springs, and other components that need resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and stress.
  • Bronze – Various bronze alloys are used for valve seats, discs, and trim components that come in contact with water. Bronze alloys have good corrosion resistance and wear characteristics.
  • Special coatings – Zinc and epoxy coatings are applied to internal and external surfaces of iron valves to improve corrosion resistance.
