What is the Alarm check valve?

Alarm check valve is mainly used in wet pipe fire protection system, which prevents the reverse flow and controls water pressure. It automatically actuates alarm when water flows into the system upon fire sprinkler operation.Alarm valves include wet alarm valves, pre-action alarm valves, and dry alarm valves. The wet alarm valve is a one-way valve that only allows water to flow into the sprinkler system in one direction and alarms at the specified flow rate. The wet alarm valve usually has the same water pressure before and after the disc (the water passes through the water pressure balance hole in the guide pipe to maintain the balance of the water pressure before and after the disc). The working principle of the alarm valve: Due to the difference between the self-weight of the valve disc and the total pressure of the water before and after the valve disc, the valve disc is in a closed state (the total pressure on the valve disc is greater than the total pressure below the valve core). When a fire breaks out, the closed nozzle sprays water. Since the water pressure balance hole is too late to replenish water, the water pressure above the alarm valve drops. At the same time, the water enters the delay device, pressure switch, hydraulic alarm bell and other facilities along the annular groove of the alarm valve, and sends out a fire alarm signal and starts the fire pump.
