Products Details

Malleable Iron 290 Beaded Plug. Beaded Plug is a kind of stopping pipe fittings commonly used in the end of pipeline. There are two type plug, one is beaded plug with Code 290, the other one is plain plug with Code 291. The difference is the whether they have edges or not. Beaded plug have edge that serve to connect, secure, or seal the pipe.Plain plugs have no edges and they are generally lighter and easier to install and remove. They are all with BSPT threaded and working pressure is PN25,that’s 2.5 Mpa.

How to choose plug:

1. Beaded plug is the plug with the edge and it can be used to connect, secure, or seal the pipe. They are often used in applications that require higher strength and sealing properties, such as high-pressure pipelines, deep-sea pipelines, etc.

2. Plain plug is the plug without the edge and will be installed and removed easier.Plain plugs are usually used in applications that do not require high strength and sealing performance, such as general pipes, household pipes, etc.

The specific type of plug to choose needs to be determined based on the specific application scenarios and needs.

The advantage of the beaded plug

1. Higher strength: Beaded plugs have extra edges, which can provide better support and fixation, and can withstand greater pressure and weight.

2. Better sealing performance: The edge of the beaded plug can closely fit the pipe, thereby providing a better sealing effect and effectively preventing leakage and damage to the pipe.

3. Wider application scope: Beaded plugs are suitable for various types of pipelines, including pipelines in petroleum, chemical industry, electric power and other fields, as well as pipelines in marine engineering, construction and other industries.

In summary, beaded plug have the advantages of higher strength, better sealing performance and a wider range of applications, so they are more suitable in situations where high strength and sealing performance are required.
