Products Details
Malleable Iron 290 Beaded Plug. Beaded plug is the plug with the edge and NPT threaded as per ANSI/ASTM B1.20.1. It has better sealing performance and it is used in the end of the pipeline to block the internal threads at the ends of pipes. It is one kind of externally threaded pipe fittings. The beaded plug with NPT threaded is used in the American standard pipe, such as SCH 40, SCH 80 etc. The size is from 1/4″ to 4″ and working pressure is 363 PSI (class150)

The advantage of the beaded plug:
1. The beaded plug is a threaded connection for easy installation and disassembly.
2. The beaded plug is one kind of plug with an edge. The edge can fit the end of the pipe better and provide better support and fixation to prevent leakage and damage to the pipe.
3. Because the edge fits the pipe, it has better sealing performance and prevents leakage at the end of the pipe.
The disadvantages of the beaded plug
1. Higher cost:The materials and processes for making beaded plugs are usually more complex than plain plugs, so manufacturing costs for beaded plug are usually higher.
2. The sealing performance may be affected: The sealing performance of the beaded pipe plug may be affected to a certain extent. For example, during long-term use, the edges may be worn or deformed, resulting in a decrease in sealing performance.
