Malleable Iron 97 Union Elbow M/F Flat Seat. Union Elbow M/F Flat Seat with NPT threaded is mostly used in American market. NPT (National Pipe Thread) is a common pipe thread standard, mainly used for pipe connection and sealing. This thread standard originated in the United States and the standard is ANSI/ASTM B1.20.1 and is widely used in piping systems, gas and liquid transmission, and some industrial equipment. If the local pipe thread standard is NPT, you can only use NPT pipe fittings for connection. If BSPT is used, it may not be screwed on or tightened tightly, resulting in water leakage.
